Stephen Clarke
As General Manager of PowerBay, Stephen leads the strategic direction, growth, and national expansion of the business, driving the development of high-performing teams, strengthening key partnerships, and delivering scalable growth across Australia’s rapidly evolving renewable energy sector.
He has been the architect behind the integration of Powerbay’s renewable energy ecosystem into the Bunnings network, leading the strategy, commercial alignment, operational framework, and national rollout that has transformed Powerbay from an emerging supplier into a recognised renewable energy partner within Australia’s largest home improvement retailer.
Under his leadership, what began as an initial rollout into 50 Bunnings stores has expanded to 125 locations nationally, with plans underway to further extend the company’s presence into New Zealand. This expansion has significantly increased access to renewable energy products for homeowners, trade professionals, and businesses, while establishing Powerbay as one of Australia’s fastest-growing renewable energy distribution businesses.
Beyond market expansion, he has played an active role in product development, working closely with manufacturers, installers, and customers to enhance the design and usability of Powerbay’s solutions. This included helping guide the redesign of the company’s heat pump platform to improve installation efficiency, product functionality, and user experience through installer-focused features and advanced touchscreen technology.
Today, Powerbay delivers a complete renewable energy ecosystem including heat pump hot water systems, solar panels, inverters, residential battery storage, solar accessories, and EV charging solutions. By combining innovative products, dependable supply chains, and strong retail partnerships, the company is helping accelerate Australia’s transition towards a more sustainable and electrified future.

Luc DeCesaris
Luc brings more than 27 years of experience with Bunnings across Australia and the United Kingdom, where he held a variety of senior leadership positions spanning store operations, complex management, retail development, and large-scale business transformation projects.
Throughout his career, Luc has built a reputation for operational excellence, strategic execution, and developing high-performing teams within one of the world’s most successful retail environments.
At Powerbay, Luc leads the national operations strategy and is responsible for the successful rollout and integration of Powerbay’s renewable energy ecosystem across the Bunnings network throughout Australia. Working closely with both Powerbay and Bunnings stakeholders, he oversees the deployment of heat pumps, solar panels, battery storage systems, inverters, EV charging solutions, and renewable energy accessories into stores nationwide.
His deep understanding of the Bunnings business, combined with extensive retail and operational expertise, continues to play a critical role in strengthening the strategic partnership between Powerbay and Bunnings while driving the expansion of renewable energy solutions across Australia.
Leigh Turner
Leigh Turner brings extensive experience across renewable energy, energy-efficient hot water systems, and customer engagement. Having built his early career through the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEEC) Scheme, Leigh developed a strong understanding of energy efficiency programs, heat pump technology, and the practical application of renewable energy solutions across residential and commercial markets.
At Powerbay, Leigh is regarded as a trusted technical resource and advisor, providing guidance and support across the business while helping customers, installers, and trade partners identify the most effective energy solutions for their needs.
As State Manager for Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, Leigh works closely with installers, builders, trade professionals, and Bunnings teams to drive engagement, education, and growth throughout the region. He is passionate about helping customers embrace smarter energy solutions and plays an important role in supporting the rollout of Powerbay’s renewable energy ecosystem.
With experience spanning heat pumps, solar, battery storage, inverters, EV charging solutions, and energy management technologies, Leigh combines technical knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach. Known for his leadership, tenacity, and ability to build strong relationships, he is highly respected by both customers and industry partners.

Sam Music
Sam Music is a highly respected renewable energy professional with extensive experience across solar, battery storage, electrification, and energy management solutions. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with homeowners, businesses, installers, and industry stakeholders to deliver practical energy solutions that reduce costs and improve sustainability outcomes.
Before joining Powerbay, Sam held senior leadership positions within the renewable energy sector, where he developed a strong reputation for building strategic partnerships, identifying market opportunities, and helping customers navigate the transition towards electrification and energy independence.
As NSW State Manager for Powerbay, Sam leads the company’s growth and market development across New South Wales. He works closely with Bunnings, trade professionals, solar installers, builders, and commercial customers to deliver Powerbay’s complete renewable energy ecosystem, including solar panels, battery storage systems, heat pump hot water systems, inverters, EV chargers, and energy accessories.
Recognised for his technical understanding, commercial acumen, and relationship-driven approach, Sam combines industry expertise with practical solutions that create value for customers. His passion for renewable energy and commitment to customer success continue to play an important role in Powerbay’s expansion across Australia.
Sophie Lei
Sophie Lei is an accomplished supply chain and logistics professional with extensive experience managing complex distribution networks, international freight operations, inventory management, and large-scale fulfilment programs across the retail and renewable energy sectors.
As National Logistics Manager at Powerbay, Sophie is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end movement of products across Australia, ensuring customers, installers, trade professionals, and retail partners receive industry-leading service and support. She manages the national logistics network spanning warehousing, inventory control, transport operations, international procurement, and last-mile delivery, supporting the continued growth of Powerbay’s renewable energy ecosystem.
With a strong background in global logistics, e-commerce fulfilment, and Australia–China trade, Sophie has developed a reputation for building efficient, scalable, and customer-focused supply chain solutions. Her ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across international suppliers, freight providers, warehouses, and retail partners ensures products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

After completing her degree in Marketing at RMIT University, Tara Phillips joined Powerbay and has quickly become a key link between the Powerbay brand, Bunnings, installers, and consumers across Australia.
Tara plays a critical role in managing and growing Powerbay’s national marketing presence, ensuring clear and consistent communication across multiple channels. From coordinating social media strategy and content creation to supporting national campaigns, Tara helps connect customers with the products, solutions, and information they need to make informed renewable energy decisions.
Her responsibilities also extend into mainstream media, where she assists in coordinating Australia-wide radio advertising campaigns and broader brand awareness initiatives that continue to strengthen Powerbay’s position within the renewable energy sector.
