Rebates

Eligible installations may qualify for federal STC discounts and selected state programs. Eligibility depends on your location, exact product and system configuration, installation date, and the required installer or retailer accreditation. Buying equipment alone does not guarantee a rebate.

Federal STCs, Victorian Energy Upgrades and Solar Victoria rebates are separate programs. They may be combined only when each program’s conditions are met. See our current government rebate guide for the applicable conditions and official sources.

The application process depends on the scheme. A retailer or accredited provider may arrange certificate discounts, while some programs require you to apply for eligibility approval. PowerBay can help identify the applicable process and documents.

Solar Victoria normally requires approval and a QR code before work starts, except under its official emergency hot-water process. Ask for each incentive and the remaining installation costs to be shown separately in your quote.
