POWERBAY Gen II Heat Pump Hot Water System Rebates

Rebates and financial incentives are available across Australia, both federally and at the state level, for the use of hot water systems powered by renewable energy. You may also be eligible for additional rebates from local councils or state governments.

By upgrading to a POWERBAY Gen II Heat Pump Hot Water System, you could qualify for multiple heat pump hot water rebates, making it a more affordable and energy-efficient choice.

1. Federal STCs (Small-Scale Technology Certificates)

Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) provide Australian households financial incentive towards the installation. The Grants are allocated based on the sustainability and efficiency of the hot water system. Australia is divided into five zones based on how much renewable energy can be generated by a solar collector system in each area.

POWERBAY heat pump hot water heater models: PBG2-200RE-HYBRID, PBG2-250RE & PBG2-300RE-HYBRID are eligible for grants under the Small-Scale Renewable Energy Scheme by the Federal Government.

  • Ensure you have all the required documents and evidence
  • Ensure documents are signed by the relevant parties, including the installer, retailer and owner (if required)
  • Select the deeming period and calculate certificate entitlements

Creating STCs (normally handled by your retailer or plumber)

  • Your installer will ask you to sign documents after job completion
  • Your installer needs to provide compliance certificate
  • Your installer needs to take photo evidence as required, e.g. system model name plate, system serial numbers, system photos after installation
  • All required documents must be completed and signed before creating STCs
